Distressed Desk Makeover

As usual I don’t have any before pictures. I got this desk from trinkets and togs many many years ago…and yup you guessed it…ugly brown wood. This one did not stay brown for long. I think I painted it right away…crisp white. I had it in my laundry room for a little while to keep schedules organized in my little planner right next to the phone. That didn’t last long there. Chelsea needed a desk in her room. To match her room I repainted it a cream color. She used it for a few years. Then it went into storage.

I’m so glad that I did not get rid of this in one of my purging moments. I LOVE this desk. It’s serving a great purpose now. I recently had to get a new computer to keep Steve’s business records. In order for The Geek Squad to retrieve any past records they had to majorly fix the old one. But told me that they didn’t know how long it would last. So I decided to use it for the boys. They are ALWAYS wanting to look up youtube videos & stuff on ebay. (I don’t allow them to use the internet in their room.) For protection. And instead of them ALWAYS in my office, I decided it would be best to set up the computer in our common family space. So glad that I did. It has worked out great.

I repainted this bad boy using Annie Sloan’s old white. Distressed it & waxed it. I am so excited. It already had the chicken wire doors. Which I’m in love with chicken wire right now. So perfect.
